Marcy, unfortunately, the Aquada is not on sale yet, mostly because problems with federal regulations. But the Quadski amphibious ATV is supposed to be available this year. Watch http://amhibiouswllz.com in the coming weeks for updates on the Quadski.
What you descibed seems to be the perfect use for an Aquada. Hopefully they will be able to get over the regulatory hurdles and bring the Aquada to market within a couple of years.

Yes Bryan, I am sure that the Gibbs ATV will be nice. As far as design for an amphibious motorcycle, there could be a number of approaches that could work, like you said, one based on a jet ski type of platform but also, maybe a cycle that would have some fold down pontoons, possibly a pontoon that swings down under the front wheel and maybe left and right fold down pontoons on each side of the bike, with power transmitted to the left and right fold down pontoons on each side of the bike converted to steerable jet thrusters. I think that a skilled engineer could make all of this work very well. It might look a bit ungainly on the street with pontoons in the stowed up position but they could give additional protection to the rider in the event of an accident on the street. Transition from land to water would be more difficult to achieve with this configuration but I am picturing a less steeply angled, shallower entry than would be used for an amphibious car. Stability in turns might be a problem but maybe we can get an engineer to chime in on this. Maybe the jet ski conversion would be the better choice. By the way Bryan, I love your site! Always fun!

Someone else suggested an amphibious motorcycle to me recently. I'm trying to picture how that would work. Seems like it would be sort of like one of the original stand up Jet Skis.
How about an amphibious ATV? Gibbs is hoping to get that one in production this year. I can hardly wait to get a ride on that one.
